Sex and Pregnancy
You may find while you are pregnant that your sex drive increases or for others you may have no interest in sex at all. These feeling are normal, some people find they enjoy sex more as the vagina becomes more sensitive, others may feel more self conscious than usual as they grow larger and not feel sexually attractive. Some people also don’t feel comfortable having sex because they can’t find a position that feels comfortable and they are concerned about hurting the baby.
It is always best to talk to your partner about how you are feeling, your partner may think that he has done something wrong. You could discuss different positions or try to cuddle, kiss, hold hands etc more often throughout the day.
There is no medical reason why you can’t have sex throughout your pregnancy (unless advised not to by your doctor). Your baby is tucked away in its protective membrane and the cervix is sealed so it will not harm your baby.
